Meet my friend, Stevie! Here is me wearing fake eyelashes! Many japanese girls wear fake eyelashes so that their eyes will look big and "western". It was so fun, I think I'm going to do it all the time!
This is at an Izakaya in Osaka. Izakaya's are awesome. You have to take your shoes off at the entrance and put them in a booth. Then, there is this thing called 'nomihodai' where for a certain amount of time you can drink as much as you want. Not always a good idea for some people...anyway, they also have really yummy food! The food come in little plates and most people share.
This is part of an Oktoberfest celebration. This was a funny game that the little kids were playing. My friends decided to also play :)

Boys...being...boys?
This photo has a purpose. See how we're hovering our phones near eachother? Thanks to infrared, you just hover, and the phones swap phone numbers! It's so easy and fun. Giving out my phone number has never been more appealing :) hahaha.
And...this is a giant robot that they built and put in a random plaza. That's what I call landscape architecture!

南京町 Chin town!

This is in China town. Some pretty building thing.
The above man with his singing pirates is running for mayor of Kobe. The pirates, definitely not Johnny Depp, singed some wierd pirate/japanese song. Then, the mayor man gave a speech. Some people clapped. Most just took photos.
Thomas from Scottland, and Yohei my new couch surfing friend, are standing under some red gate thingies at the big shrine.
Oh oh! Exchange students!

Many apologies, I know I said I would update everyday, however, the free internet I've been mooching from my room window doesn't always works very well...
The grapes in Japan are super cute, kawaii, and round! They also taste really delicious.
This is another view of Kobe on my way from my house to downtown Sannomiya. The mountains are so pretty!
This is what I pass on my way up the mountain to go to school everyday. It takes me about 50 minutes to walk and I still break a sweat!

Good new vibes all around!

Tetsuya, my roomie, and I eating yummy food he made in our pretty kitchen! That groovy blue little dangly cloth thing in the background is our shower curtain...fun!
This is taken from my train station platform. The mountains are really pretty and lumpy- they look really japanese.
Yesterday I met up with Naoki, who was once an exchange student at Georgia, in Osaka. We found these funny boob sunglasses: おぱい!(opai=boobs!)
At a fancy department store in Osaka I had to use the restroom...and when I opened the door, to my horror was this hole in the ground...Now I know that you pee facing the wall- hahaha.
This is Osakajo! The castle of Osaka. It's pretty cool, but the japanese pine trees are even cooler. They look just like the trees in Hokusai prints. Big enormous kitty cats live on the castle grounds...
These are some of my new friends!!! My mamachari gets around!
I have arrived!

This is my house! Check out my Mamachari- also known as a Mom Bike :) I use this to cruise around town in.
This is the yummy BentoBox dinner thing Kyohei's dad bought me in Tokyo.
This is a photo of one of the train seats on the Shinkansen- yes, I rode a Bullet Train to get to Kobe! It was awesome.
