Went to the Kobe Luminarie with Carlos, Hsin, Tony (from UGA!), Chris and Chris' friend. The Luminarie is a memorial to the 1995 Kobe Earthquake were I think some 6000 people died. It was way beautiful. I heard they import Italians to make this happen.
On a different note, in Japan, its okay to sleep anywhere and everywhere...

The view is always too beautiful to not photograph

This is during my speech and conversation class. Check out the girl wearing the facemask!
And for Carolina and Camille:
The Home Front
Since Stevie moved in, we decided to make some beautiful japanese style curtains to create some privacy between our two rooms:

This is what they look like from my room with the lights on in Stevies room:

Stevie also decorated a really ugly but comfy chair that we have:

Here Tets is playing with his brand new camera that he bought himself for his secret birthday. As you can see, he is on my lovely brand new purple carpet...

Nara- Playing with the Bambis!
Monday, November 30, 2009
Stevie and I went to Nara Koen. Its a huge park with many temple/padogas and a huge shrine thing to Buddha. The coolest part though, by far, are the hundreds of friendly deer that walk around freely. It is said that the kamis (spirits) live in the deer. We bought deer cookies to feed the deer with, and if you bow to them, some of them bow back!
Sushi Party!
